Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, is required for applicants seeking to adjust status to become lawful permanent residents.  Normally, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) considers a completed Form I-693 to be valid for two years from the date of the civil surgeon’s signature, but only if it is received by USCIS within 60 days of the signature.  Due to processing delays related to the COVID-19 pandemic, USCIS previously waived this 60-day rule until September 30, 2022.  As processing delays continue, USCIS announced that this temporary waiver is extended.  Pursuant to the extension, Forms I-693 dated more than 60 days prior to USCIS submission will remain acceptable until March 31, 2023.  The waiver applies to all Forms I-693 submitted with applications that have not yet been adjudicated, regardless of when an application was submitted or when a civil surgeon signed it.
